Off we go, with him driving, and I am hoping I don't get sick on the way there, but oddly, I start to feel a little better just being outside of the house. We aren't finding a whole lot left, and what is for sale is insanely overpriced. Tupperware isn't very collectible yet guys! 2 bucks for a cup is insanely high to me. (Plastic cups are 4 for $1 at the box stores!)
I do score a few things, such as a new Dooney and Burke purse for $15. And the same lady has some cool kid's books. Then I see the frog fountain! OOOOHHHH, I ask her how much since it's the one thing not tagged. (I hesitate, hoping it isn't just in a weird place not running.)
She says, "One dollar, but with everything else, we'll just call it 50 cents". Waahoo! Sold!
Later, we find an awesome vintage fishing pole for $6.
The cat wants it to be his, and he will likely use it for a water bowl. But the big one sits nicely into the other one for stability until I can find a stand. Very modern looking though! I think I will like it in the garden when it is all polished up. (I will post picks of that later.)
My husband scored with a Trek mountain bike for only $50. He didn't even want to ask how much! When the lady's husband found out how much she sold it for, he obviously wasn't happy. She just said he shouldn't have left her in charge and smiled. That is the sign of a very good deal! He was riding it so I had to borrow this pic...

My dear, dear Heather. Just wanted to stop for a moment and mention to you how very rich and interesting my life has become since you began bringing the bizarre into our home. Thank you for your exuberance and for keeping life interesting. I love these aspects of you and all they bring to my life. Keep it up! All my love,
